The course runs for a period of up to 24 weeks and is run by Ken Akrill, the author of the UKA Latin American and Ballroom technique book and technical advisor of the course syllabus in both Ballroom and Latin American and Jill Roberts - the Principal of Dance Dynamic.

The dances covered on this course are the Cha cha cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba and Paso Doble.

At the end of the course you will have sufficient technical knowledge of each of the figures in the syllabus to be able to dance and teach them. You will be given teaching points for each figure, have an awareness of precedes and follows and how to link them into simple routines. You will also be given the practical skills on how to teach classes utilizing our many years of dance teaching experience. You will also be given an additional option at the end of the course to have ongoing support with setting up classes and teaching dance and be able to enter children for the introductory dance awards/medal tests through the UKA.

Applications for course entry are made by requesting and completing an application form and returning to Jill Roberts either via e mail to or posted to 6-7 Coelus Street, Witham, HU9 1AX.
